2020 we all can admit was a tough year for the entertainment industry, We passed through the pandemic, #endsars protests, character buildings, shocking discoveries, self discovery and lots more.

 Some situations would just require a headphone and good music. Thanks to our ever hardworking artist, the year 2020 actually gave Africa one of the best albums of all time. From Twice as tall to Celia to the much anticipated made in Lagos, we never lacked good music.

Here's a list of what fans think are the top Albums of the year:

1. TWICE AS TALL: Two time Grammy nominee Ebunoluwa Damini gave us this sounds, burna boy as he is popularly known is gifted, the album was a grammy clincher at the recent Grammy awards night. Though it has more western influence than what we normally know him for, it still has that pure African taste to it.

It features songs like "comma", "real life" ft stormzy and more. Songs where produced by both indigenous and foreign producers. Truly this is a sound to reckon with.

2. Made in Lagos: Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid gave this one to us, although we had to wait for it like it was made in Lagos traffic. 

Starboy proved to the world that he is still the master of good vibes with songs ranging from party bangers to toe curling love music. His features where somewhat picky though he did good with Tems, Terri, Burna boy and Damian Marley. If you haven't listened to this album, it would be a crime against good music.

3. A BETTER TIME: This album is what you would describe as well-bred tunes from a good artist.

A better time captures the listener with songs like Holy ground, Soo crazy, Jowo. Features ranged from "the mayor of Lagos" Mayorkun to "thugger thugger" young thug, Lil baby, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj. Davido really gave us sounds from "the best" 

4. GET LAYD: Headies rookie of the year Omah Lay comes fourth with this beautiful musical masterpiece. The portharcourt based artist was one of our top trending acts of 2020. This album tracklist includes bad influence, you and damn

5. CELIA: from our best female export Tiwa savage so apparently it is not a surprise she is on this list, Tiwa savage has rythms that just captures your heart in every possible way. This although some would agree is not her best effort but it isn't bad at all.

With songs like dangerous love, koroba And temptation. This album does make one of the top 5 in Nigerian music.

6. CARPE DIEM: YBNL boss Olamide aka badoo gave us music we can't forget in a hurry.

Featuring young artists like Bad boy timz, Bella shmurda and Omah lay, he didn't sound like the "local rapper" we know. 

Bigups to the Empire artist though, carpe diem rates as one of the top Albums of the year. Songs like triumphant, another level, loading Would keep you in dancing mode for a while
